Coronavirus Latest Updates

Dear Patient

There is currently no vaccine to prevent COVID-19 acute respiratory disease. The best way to prevent infection is to avoid being exposed to the virus.

To this end the NHS has asked GP Practices to stop seeing patients face to face wherever possible in order to limit the spread of Coronavirus and reduce your risk of getting it.

We will be using telephone, video and eConsultations where possible until further notice. You can eConsult via our website at any time. All other contacts will be triaged by telephone and only seen face to face if necessary. Please only call the surgery for essential requests so that we can keep the lines free.

Appointments such as blood tests and dressings that cannot be dealt with by telephone will only be booked if they have been requested by a doctor or nurse.

Please DO NOT come to the surgery for any reason if you have a temperature, a persistent cough or flu-like symptoms.

We will also be cancelling or postponing some routine appointments and services.

As well as protecting you, this approach will also help to ensure that GPs, nurses and the rest of our team can stay healthy and that we can continue to look after our patients during this pandemic.

Please read our Coronavirus – How you can help page on our website for more information.

These steps are crucially important to help protect you and us. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
