Coronavirus – How you can help

1. DO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY FOR ANY REASON IF YOU HAVE A FEVER, COUGH OR FLU-LIKE SYMPTOMS

2. If you have a face to face appointment such as a blood test or a dressing and wake up on the morning of your appointment with these symptoms PLEASE DO NOT COME. Call the practice and we will assess how we can safely treat you

3. If you are concerned that you may have symptoms of Covid-19 please visit 111 online or call NHS 111 rather than contacting the practice.

4. Wash your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds regularly. If you come to the surgery wash your hands (or use sanitiser)

  • on arrival
  • after using the touchscreen
  • after using the toilet
  • on leaving

5. At home you should also do this before eating or preparing food, after you have been to the toilet and on leaving and returning to your house.

6. We are likely to be extremely busy in the coming weeks and months. PLEASE ONLY CONTACT US FOR ESSENTIAL REQUESTS.

7. Help to keep the phone lines free so that we can offer telephone triage – make use of our eConsult service via our website https://therycotepractice.webgp.com/ We will be making every effort to respond to these queries promptly.

8. Please do not visit the surgery to drop off your prescription forms. You can request your repeat medication by

  • Posting us your prescription form
  • Ordering via your online access account
  • By sending an administrative eConsult
  • By telephone IF YOU CAN’T ACESS OTHER OPTIONS

9. Please DO NOT come to the practice to collect your prescription forms. You can nominate a pharmacy to receive your prescriptions electronically in your Online Access account or by informing us or your pharmacist.

10. Sign up for online access to that you can access results and order medication online. You can download an application form from our website or ask for one to be e-mailed or posted to you. During the Coronavirus pandemic we will undertake identity checks from your record to avoid the need to bring ID into the practice.

11. Please do not come into to collect letters and other forms from the surgery. If these have not been postponed they will be posted or e-mailed to you.

12. If you are asked to come to the surgery for a face to face assessment and asked to wait in your car for the doctor to meet you. PLEASE DO SO. You can call the surgery to let us know you are here.

13. If you are invited to the surgery, PLEASE KEEP A 2 METRE DISTANCE BETWEEN YOURSELF AND STAFF whether at the reception desk or in a consulting room.
