Annual Medication Reviews

Repeat prescriptions at The Rycote Practice last for one year at most before needing a review. Shorter times may also be agreed with your doctor. When the agreed time period runs out you must come and see a doctor. This is for safety reasons, to ensure that the drugs you are taking are still appropriate for you and that any tests (such as blood tests) that you may need are done. At the appointment, the repeat will be extended for a further year where appropriate.

You will know when your repeat prescription needs updating as a message will be printed on your latest repeat slip.

Medication Reviews for Hayfever

If you are on repeat medication for hayfever or other allergies you can download the form below and hand it in to the practice or email it to [email protected]  For many patients this will allow your medication to be re-authorised for a further 12 months without a need to visit the surgery to see your GP.
