United Commissioning (UC) is a collaborative of GPs in Buckinghamshire
working together to improve patient services and provide value for money
for NHS resources. It was set up in 2006 and The Rycote Practice was a
founder member.
As you may have seen in the national media, the Coalition Government has
published a White paper for consultation on the future of the NHS. As a
mature and successful commissioning group, it is expected that United
Commissioning will represent all of the local GP surgeries as a
commissioner of services should the proposals in the White Paper become
law.
United Commissioning consists of 21 GP practices around Aylesbury,
Buckingham, Thame and the surrounding countryside. One of our GPs,
Dr Faller, currently sits on the board of United Commissioning,
representing the views of 5 GP surgeries around Thame, Princes
Risborough and Haddenham.
