We offer vaccinations via our nursing team. Please read below for
information on different vaccines. For information about travel vaccines
please see our

'Flu Jabs
These are given annually to help protect against influenza virus.
These are available from early October. We offer two flu clinics in
October and catch-up clinics for those unable to attend a flu clinic. It
may also be possible to have your injection during a routine visit to
the practice.
We routinely visit residential homes to provide flu jabs. However, if
you are housebound please contact the surgery to arrange a nurse to see
you at home.

there are sufficient supplies once our NHS commitments are fulfilled,
these may be offered on a private basis to non-eligible patients.

This is a once-only jab to protect against a particular bacterial
infection. It is available all year round, and is offered to anyone on
reaching their 65th birthday.
Certain other patients younger than 65 can receive this injection -

Hepatitis B Vaccination

of Hepatitis B. This does not include occupational risk which should be
covered via the employer's occupational health service.
Vaccinations are also offered privately to those who wish to have
vaccination.
Tetanus
Provided your childhood vaccines are up-to-date, tetanus boosters are
only required if you are at risk of contracting tetanus from a high-risk
injury or animal bite. Please contact the practice.
